Something not working in Bead Chute?

How to play

  1. Point where you want the bead to go and tap or click to fire.
  2. Three or more of one kind touching burst; the line pulls the gap closed.
  3. A gap that closes into another match is a chain, and pays more each step.
  4. A chain of two eases the line; a chain of three, or a burst of six, loads a blast bead.
  5. A bead that reaches the chute costs a life. Clear the track to move on.

Controls

Keyboard

  • ← → turn the turret
  • ↑ ↓ swing toward the front of the line
  • Space or X fires
  • Z or C swaps the next bead
  • P pauses

Touch

  • Drag to aim, lift to fire
  • Or tap where you want the bead to land
  • SWAP trades the loaded bead for the next one

Controller

  • D-pad or left stick to move
  • A / Cross for action, B / Circle for secondary
  • Start to pause

Tips for a better score

  • Points are in the chains, not the pops. Popping a group that lets two matching stretches close together doubles the score, and a chain of three loads a blast bead as well.
  • Every burst shoves the whole line back down the track — a little for three beads, far more for a chain — while a shot that bursts nothing shoves the line one place nearer the chute instead.
  • The next bead is shown under the turret and Z (or B on the pad) swaps it with the loaded one, so you can hold a useful kind back for a shot you can see coming.
  • The blast bead clears everything within about two beads of where it lands, so aim it at the thickest part of the line rather than at the front — the gap it leaves often chains on its own.

About Bead Chute

Bead Chute is a chain shooter on a teak track routed into the cabinet. A line of glass beads rolls steadily along the track toward the chute at its end, and a turret in the middle turns to wherever you point. Fire a bead into the line and three or more of one kind touching burst on the spot. The line then pulls the gap closed, and if it closes into another match that is a chain — every step of a chain is worth more than the last, so the big scores come from setting one up rather than from popping the nearest pair. Chains pay you back twice over: a chain of two eases the line for a few seconds, and a chain of three — or a single burst of six — loads a blast bead that clears everything around where it lands. Ten hand-drawn tracks run from a gentle bench to a deep coil, adding kinds of bead and speed as they go. You have three lives; a bead that reaches the chute costs one and starts the track again. Every kind of bead wears its own symbol, so nothing here depends on telling colours apart.
