Something not working in Bridges?

How to play

  1. Drag from one island to a neighbour to build a bridge.
  2. Do it again for a second bridge; a third time takes both away.
  3. Every island needs exactly its number of bridges.
  4. Bridges run straight, never cross, and must join every island together.
  5. Tap a bridge to change it, or tap two islands in turn.

Controls

Keyboard

  • ← ↑ → ↓ move between islands
  • Space or Enter picks an island, then an arrow builds
  • Z or Backspace undo, H hint
  • M swap today and practice, P pause

Touch

  • Drag from an island to its neighbour to build a bridge
  • Tap a bridge to cycle it from one to two to none
  • UNDO, CLEAR and HINT sit under the sea

Controller

  • D-pad or left stick to move
  • A / Cross for action, B / Circle for secondary
  • Start to pause

Tips for a better score

  • Start with the certain ones: an island showing 8 needs two bridges every way, and a 1 in a corner with only one neighbour has nowhere else to go.
  • Two islands both showing 1 can never be joined to each other alone, because the pair would be cut off from the rest of the map.
  • A bridge cannot cross another, so building one often rules out the line it would cut through.
  • Scoring: five points the first time each island is complete, then fifteen an island and a bonus for solving under par. Hints cost twenty; undo is free.

About Bridges

Bridges is a calm logic puzzle on open water. Each round island carries a number, and you join islands that can see each other along a row or a column with one or two bridges until every island has exactly its number, no two bridges cross, and every island is linked to all the others. A complete island gets a soft ring and a tick; one with too many bridges gets a cross. Puzzles are built in your browser and checked by an exact solver, so every one has exactly one answer. There is today's puzzle, the same for everyone until midnight, and endless practice that grows from a four-island warm-up to a crowded eight by ten sea.
