Tips for a better score
- Read the banner, not the word. It always says which rule is running, and it lights up for a moment whenever the rule flips.
- A mistake costs two seconds as well as your streak, so a half-second pause is cheaper than a wrong tap.
- The tiles never move. Learning where each colour sits is worth more than reading all six every time.
- More colours come into play as the clock runs down, so the second half is harder than the first even at the same speed.
About Colour Clash
Colour Clash prints a colour name in some other colour and asks which one you mean. For the first few answers you name the ink it is printed in; then the rule flips without warning and you name the word itself, and it keeps flipping every six right answers. Forty-five seconds, a streak that raises what each answer is worth, and two seconds off the clock for every mistake. Every tile is labelled with its colour name as well as filled with the colour, so nobody has to tell two colours apart to play. It is a game of attention and nothing more — it measures nothing and claims nothing.
