Tips for a better score

  • Read one attribute at a time: shape first across a row, then colour, then how many there are, then solid or hollow.
  • A rule can run down a column as well as across a row. If a row makes no sense, read the grid the other way.
  • Every wrong answer differs in exactly one thing, so once you know the rule the six choices sort themselves quickly.
  • When you miss one the rule is written out underneath. That line is the whole puzzle, and the next one usually reuses part of it.

About Mind Matrix

Mind Matrix shows a three by three grid of drawn shapes with the last square missing, and six answers below it. Each puzzle is generated here from rules the game picks — a shape that holds along a row, a colour that steps on by one, a count that climbs, a fill that alternates — and every wrong answer breaks exactly one of those rules, so exactly one answer continues the pattern the puzzle was built from. Get it wrong and the rule is spelled out in a line so the next one makes more sense. Three wrong answers end the run. Nothing here is copied from any published test, and no score means anything beyond this game.
