How to play
- Steer your ship; it fires on its own.
- Dodge enemy fire and grab falling coins and power-ups.
- A bomb clears every enemy bullet on screen.
- Every fifth wave, beat the boss: pods first, then the core.
Controls
Keyboard
- ← → ↑ ↓ or W A S D fly
- Or move the mouse and the ship follows it
- Z, Shift or Space fire a bomb (or right-click)
- P pause
Touch
- Drag anywhere; the ship keeps its distance from your finger so you can see it
- Tap the bomb button in the bottom corner, or press Bomb

Tips for a better score
- A red marker flashing at the top of the screen means a dart is about to dive straight down that lane, so slide sideways the moment you see it.
- A bomb turns every enemy bullet on screen into 10 points and hits every enemy too, so save one for a boss spiral rather than a quiet moment.
- While either boss gun pod is still firing, shots at the core do only a fifth of their damage, so destroy both pods first; each pays 500 points or more.
- Losing a ship costs one level of spread shot and any rapid fire or magnet time left, but you return untouchable for two and a half seconds.
About Star Squadron
Star Squadron is a vertical-scrolling space shooter where your ship fires on its own and your job is to fly it. Swooping mantas, zig-zagging diamonds, turret drones that park and fire aimed fans, and darts that dive down a flashing lane come faster and thicker with every wave. Shoot down haulers for power-ups (a wider spread shot, rapid fire, a one-hit shield, a coin magnet or an extra bomb) and spend bombs to wipe every enemy bullet off the screen. Every fifth wave a three-phase boss arrives: knock out its two gun pods, then crack its core before it goes into overdrive. You have three ships, and you come back briefly untouchable after each one is lost.
