Tips for a better score
- Empty a tube completely before you start filling it. An empty tube is worth more than any half-sorted one.
- Pouring moves the whole run of one colour at once, so a tube with three of the same on top empties in a single tap.
- Work out where each colour will finish before your first pour: two spare tubes is not much room to change your mind.
- The extra tube costs a hundred points and lasts the level. Undo costs nothing, so wind back first and only buy it when genuinely stuck.
About Colour Sort
Colour Sort is a bench of laboratory tubes filled with layers of coloured liquid, jumbled up. Pour the top layer of one tube onto a matching layer in another, or into an empty one, until every tube holds a single colour. Each rack is dealt at random and then checked by a solver before you see it, so every board can be finished. Undo is free, and an extra tube can be bought once a level for a hundred points if a rack has you stuck. Every colour carries its own symbol as well, so the puzzle never depends on telling two shades apart. Levels grow from three colours to ten.
