Tips for a better score
- Link the pairs sitting on the edges and in corners first, and run long pipes along the border; the middle is far easier to fill once the outside is set.
- Solve a board without cutting a pipe or clearing a colour and you earn 30 extra points per row, 270 on a nine by nine grid.
- Never wall in a single empty square: nothing can reach it, and the board will not count as solved until a pipe is rerouted through it.
- While dragging, slide back along your own pipe to shorten it and any colour you cut through springs back, so only let go once the route looks right.
About Dot Link
Dot Link is a pipe-drawing puzzle on a square grid. Every colour has two dots, and you drag from one to the other to lay a pipe between them. Pipes can never cross, so drawing through another colour cuts that pipe back. A board only counts as solved when every pair is linked and every square is filled. Boards grow from five by five to nine by nine, each against its own clock, and every one is freshly made and checked to be solvable.
