How to play
- Find the listed words hidden in the letter grid.
- Drag from a word's first letter to its last.
- Words run across, down, diagonally and later backwards.
- Find them all before the clock runs out for a time bonus.
Controls
Keyboard
- ← → ↑ ↓ move the cursor
- Space or Enter marks the first letter, then the last
- H or Z shows a hint (costs 20 points)
- Esc or P pause
Touch
- Drag from the first letter of a word to the last
- Or tap the first letter, then the last
- Tap HINT under the grid for a clue
- Or use the pad: Mark marks each end, Hint gives a hint
Controller
- D-pad or left stick to move
- A / Cross for action, B / Circle for secondary

Tips for a better score
- Hunt for the rare letters first: a J, Q, X, Z or K in a listed word stands out in the grid far faster than an E or an A.
- Every word pays 10 points a letter, and from round three a word hidden backwards pays double, so chase the long backwards words first.
- Clearing a grid adds 3 points for every second left on its clock, so a quick finish can be worth more than the last word itself.
- A hint flashes the first letter of a random unfound word for 20 points, but it never takes your score below zero, so an early hint costs little.
About Word Hunt
Word Hunt is a word search with a fresh theme every round, from space and kitchens to camping and castles. Each grid hides six to nine of the theme's words running across, down and diagonally, and from round three some run backwards too. Drag from a word's first letter to its last, or tap both ends, and it is circled in its own colour and struck off the list below. Grids grow from eight by eight to ten by ten, each round has its own clock, and finding every word turns the seconds left into bonus points. Let a clock run out and the run is over.
