Tips for a better score
- Aim between the arrows, not down the middle. A ball into the gap between the head pin and the one behind it carries far more pins.
- Hook is worth more than speed. Start wide and let the ball break in, and the pack scatters instead of splitting.
- The bar for speed is forgiving: anywhere in the top third rolls fast enough, so take the sure tap rather than chasing the very top.
- The tenth frame gives you extra balls for a strike or a spare, so a good last frame can swing thirty pins.
About Lane Bowl
Lane Bowl is ten-pin bowling taken the way a bowler takes it: three decisions, one button. A marker sweeps across the foul line for where you stand, a bar rises for how hard you roll, and a third sweep sets how much hook you put on it. The ball then rolls on its own down a lane drawn in perspective, and the hook bites harder as it slows — which is exactly what makes a ball break late into the pocket. The pins are round bodies that knock each other about, stepped finely so a fast ball can never slip past one. Scoring is real ten-pin scoring, with the tenth frame's bonus balls, shown frame by frame across the top.
