Do Nothing

Two minutes of nothing. Move the mouse and you start again.

About Do Nothing

A calm two-minute timer with a slow breathing circle. Don't touch anything. Touch anything and the timer stops, so you start again. Harder than any game here.

A two-minute do nothing challenge and gentle breathing timer. Press start, breathe along with the slow circle and keep completely still until the clock runs out.

Moving the mouse, touching the screen, scrolling or pressing any key ends the attempt, with a brief grace moment right after you press start. Your longest stillness is saved in this browser, so you can try to beat it tomorrow.

Ways to use it

  • Take a two-minute mindfulness break between meetings without opening a meditation app.
  • Calm down before sleep by breathing along with the circle until the timer ends.
  • Settle a restless class after lunch with two minutes of shared stillness on the big screen.
  • Test your patience and see how long you can last before reaching for the mouse.

Questions

What counts as moving?

Moving or clicking the mouse, touching the screen, scrolling or pressing a key. Any of them stops the timer and shows how long you lasted.

Does the timer restart on its own?

No. It stops and tells you how long you lasted, then you press Restart when you're ready for another go.

Is my best time saved?

Your longest stillness is saved in this browser on this device, and it shows under the timer each time you visit.
