Decision Wheel

Can't decide? Type the options, spin, obey.

About Decision Wheel

Type up to eight options, spin the wheel and let fate decide. Dinner, movie night, who does the dishes. The wheel remembers your last list.

Type your options, one per line, and spin the wheel to decide. Every option gets an equal slice, and each spin starts at a random speed before slowing to a natural stop, so no answer is favoured.

Your list is saved in this browser, so it's waiting next time you visit. Add fewer than two options and the wheel falls back to a simple yes or no.

Ways to use it

  • Settle what's for dinner when nobody wants to choose between pizza, sushi and curry.
  • Pick who goes first on board-game night, or who does the dishes afterwards.
  • Choose a random student to answer next, or which group presents first in class.
  • Break a tie on movie night by putting the whole shortlist on the wheel.

Questions

Is the decision wheel really random?

Yes. Every option gets an equal slice of the wheel, and each spin starts at a random speed, so where it stops isn't set in advance.

How many options can I put on the wheel?

Up to eight, one per line. Extra lines are left off the wheel, and with fewer than two options it spins between yes and no.

Does it remember my list?

Yes. Your options are saved in this browser on this device, so the same list is ready when you come back.
